Emerson College (founded 1962, set on a 22-acre estate in East Sussex) and Ruskin Mill Centre for Practice (based at the Field Centre, Gloucestershire) sit within the Ruskin Mill Land Trust group of companies. Together, they are dedicated to adult education rooted in Rudolf Steiner's Spiritual Science, embodying a deep commitment to the values and principles of Waldorf education.
Institute for Waldorf Education, Inclusion and Interculturalism in Mannheim is a study center of Alanus University and offers various B.A. and M.A. programs in educational and curative professional fields. Coursework is substantiated by practical training, comprehensive art exercises, and participation in current research projects of the lecturers. Research focuses primarily on Waldorf Education in dialogue with educational science; inclusion and curative education; intercultural and interreligious education; as well as philosophy, anthropology, consciousness studies, and aesthetics. Graduates of the study programs work mainly in Waldorf schools and anthroposophically oriented institutions for people with disabilities, but also in other educational and cultural contexts.

PGDip in Waldorf Education (Level 7) with PGCE & QTS — Delivered by Emerson College and validated by the University of Buckingham, this two-year programme is the UK's only employed-route Waldorf teacher training integrating PGCE and QTS, equipping graduates to teach in both Waldorf and mainstream education. Blending online learning, mentored school-based practice and face-to-face residentials, it provides a rigorous foundation in Waldorf philosophy, contemporary educational practice and professional teaching standards.
An optional third year enables students to complete a full MA in Waldorf Education.
Level 3 Diploma in Integrative Early Childhood Pedagogy (EYE): Holistic Baby & Child Care — The course is a full and relevel EYE qualification, preparing students to work with children from birth to age five. It blends Steiner Waldorf early childhood education, the Pikler approach and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), offering a deeply respectful, relationship-based foundation for early years practice.
MA in Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) — Delivered by Ruskin Mill Centre for Practice and validated by the University of Huddersfield, this part-time three-year programme critically explores the Seven Fields of Practice. It draws on over 30 years of Ruskin Mill Trust's specialist work supporting children and adults with complex needs, including learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and disabilities.
MA in Transformative Learning — Validated by Arts University Bournemouth, this programme offers a distinctive approach to postgraduate study, integrating artistic practice, scientific observation and philosophical inquiry. Students engage directly with phenomena — from light and colour to living systems and cultural change — developing an embodied understanding of transformation both in themselves and in others.
